THE FACTS OF LIFE (1960)  Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Ruth Hussey, Louis Nye, Don DeFore, Philip Ober and Marianne Stewart. - Public Domain Movie Disc only Free Post - In Black & White

Bob Hope and Lucille Ball star in this witty and sophisticated romantic comedy that explores love, temptation, and the complications of married life.

Larry Gilbert and Kitty Weaver are longtime friends and neighbors whose lives have settled into comfortable routines. When an unexpected opportunity leaves them alone together during a vacation in Acapulco, an innocent friendship gradually develops into a romance.

Back home, the pair struggle to balance their growing feelings with their responsibilities to their families. Secret meetings, close calls, and mounting guilt force them to confront the realities of their situation as they discover that fantasy and everyday life are often very different things.

Directed by Melvin Frank and Norman Panama, The Facts of Life offers a more mature and thoughtful role for Bob Hope while showcasing Lucille Ball's acclaimed dramatic and comedic talents. Nominated for five Academy Awards and featuring a memorable title sequence by legendary designer Saul Bass, this charming comedy remains one of the most distinctive films of its era.
