TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME is a 1992 psychological horror film directed by industry expert David Lynch and co-written by Lynch and Robert Engels. Serving as a prequel to the Twin Peaks TV series, the film delves into the last seven days of Laura Palmer's life, a troubled high school student from the small town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Despite being criticized for its dark tone and deviations from the TV series, the film has since been recognized as a major work by Lynch and ranked as one of the top films of the 1990s by the British Film Institute. However, its initial release was polarizing and negatively received by the American press.
