The Bionic Woman is a renowned sci-fi TV series, created by Kenneth Johnson and based on Martin Caidin's 1972 novel Cyborg. Starring Lindsay Wagner and Lee Majors, it aired from 1976 to 1978. A spin-off of the popular Six Million Dollar Man, the show follows Jaime Sommers, a top tennis player who becomes bionic after a skydiving accident. With extraordinary abilities and bionic implants, Jaime is a valuable asset to the government's secret missions while also leading a normal life as a teacher. The series received high ratings and even spawned three TV movies before its cancellation. A failed remake was attempted in 2007.
