One beautiful woman in red. One happily married man. And a whole lot of trouble!

Gene Wilder writes, directs and stars in this hilarious 1980s romantic comedy about temptation, mistaken identities and the extraordinary lengths one man will go to in pursuit of the woman of his dreams.

Theodore "Teddy" Pierce (Gene Wilder) is a respectable, happily married advertising executive whose comfortable life is turned upside down when he catches sight of a stunning woman in a flowing red dress standing over a ventilation grate.

The mysterious beauty is Charlotte (Kelly LeBrock), a glamorous British model whose unforgettable appearance leaves Teddy completely spellbound. Suddenly, his ordinary married life seems painfully dull, and he becomes determined to win her affection.

Encouraged by his mischievous friends, Teddy embarks upon a series of increasingly outrageous schemes to meet Charlotte, leading to disastrous dinner dates, embarrassing misunderstandings, ridiculous excuses and spectacularly unsuccessful attempts at romance.

But when his romantic ambitions finally appear to be coming true, Teddy discovers that fulfilling his fantasy may be considerably more dangerous than he ever imagined!

Featuring Gene Wilder's trademark comic genius, Kelly LeBrock in her sensational film debut and wonderful supporting performances from Charles Grodin, Gilda Radner and Joseph Bologna, The Woman in Red is a delightful comedy packed with laughter, romance and unforgettable situations.

Accompanied by a superb soundtrack from Stevie Wonder, including the Academy Award-winning hit "I Just Called to Say I Love You," this much-loved 1984 comedy remains an entertaining favourite from the golden age of 1980s cinema.

He had a wife, a family and a perfectly good life — until he saw THE WOMAN IN RED!
