THERE'S GOOD TASTE... AND THEN THERE'S BAD TASTE!
The peaceful New Zealand town of Kaihoro has suddenly gone quiet. Its entire population has disappeared, and something decidedly unpleasant has taken its place.
Sent to investigate, four members of the Astro Investigation and Defence Service soon discover that the town has been overrun by vicious extraterrestrial visitors disguised as humans. But these aliens haven't travelled across the galaxy simply to conquer Earth — they're looking for a new ingredient for their intergalactic fast-food business... human flesh!
What follows is an outrageous battle involving guns, explosions, aliens, chainsaws and some spectacularly messy encounters as Derek and his unlikely band of heroes attempt to stop the extraterrestrial invaders before humanity ends up on the menu.
Written, produced, directed, photographed and co-starring Peter Jackson, Bad Taste was the filmmaker's extraordinary feature debut. Filmed independently in New Zealand over several years, this wildly inventive mixture of science fiction, action, comedy and splatter horror became an international cult favourite and launched the remarkable filmmaking career of the future director of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
