When Gerald MacTeam suddenly inherits his ancestral castle in the Scottish Highlands, he unexpectedly breaks off his engagement and withdraws from the outside world. Disturbed by his strange behaviour and dramatic physical decline, his fiancée Kitty travels to the remote castle determined to uncover the truth.
