When horror writer Bob and his girlfriend Shirley venture into the California desert in search of inspiration, a mysterious car accident leads them into a terrifying nightmare. Deep within a fog-shrouded cemetery, they witness a bizarre midnight ceremony ruled by the sinister Emperor of the Dead and his seductive Black Ghoul. Surrounded by ghouls, a werewolf and a mummy, the couple are captured and forced to watch a procession of beautiful female spirits performing strange and provocative dances. Each dancer reveals a dark tale of passion, betrayal, greed or death. As the night progresses, the Black Ghoul becomes determined to claim Shirley as her own, while the Emperor demands ever more outrageous entertainment. With dawn approaching, Bob and Shirley must escape before they become permanent residents of this unholy kingdom. Written by cult filmmaker Ed Wood, this outrageous 1960s horror curiosity combines supernatural chills, exotic dancing and wonderfully bizarre entertainment.
