THEY THOUGHT IT WAS OVER... BUT THE REAL HORROR HAD ONLY JUST BEGUN!
A chilling Australian psychological horror thriller starring Sigrid Thornton, Chantal Contouri and Robert Bruning, where the glamorous world of fashion modelling conceals a terrifying nightmare of obsession, exploitation and deadly secrets.
Angela (Sigrid Thornton) is a young Melbourne hairdresser who dreams of escaping her sheltered existence and starting a new life overseas. Encouraged by the sophisticated model Madeline (Chantal Contouri), she enters the exciting world of professional modelling, hoping it will provide the independence and freedom she desperately desires.
But behind the glamorous photographs, fashionable parties and promises of fame lies a sinister world of manipulation and danger. When Angela attracts the attention of a wealthy modelling agency owner, his increasingly disturbing behaviour leaves her fearing for her safety.
As strange incidents begin to occur, Angela finds herself terrorised by an unseen threat. A horrifying discovery in her bedroom, the unwanted attentions of her former boyfriend and a series of frightening encounters convince her that someone is watching her every move.
Desperate to escape, Angela accepts a modelling assignment in Fiji, believing it will finally offer her a fresh start. But as her departure approaches, obsession turns to violence and a terrifying confrontation reveals that the people around her may be hiding deadly secrets.
Packed with suspense, disturbing twists and an atmosphere of mounting paranoia, The Day After Halloween, originally released as Snapshot, is a memorable Australian exploitation thriller from director Simon Wincer.
